The laugh you couldn’t have planned.

Family Stories

Your people.
As they are.

Photo Stories and Motion Stories made from new moments, family photographs, video, and familiar voices.

Let’s talk about your story
Photo or motion?

Photo or motion

Two ways
to tell it.

Both can begin with what you already have, what we make together, or a combination.

01

Photo Stories

Photographs, newly made or gathered from your family, chosen and arranged to let the people and moments come through.

Ask about a Photo Story
02

Motion Stories

An edited film that can weave photographs, home video, new footage, voices, and words into one story.

The life you’re living

There is so much
in an ordinary day.

The kitchen gets messy. Someone tells the same joke again. A child reaches for your hand without thinking. A Family Story gives those small, familiar things somewhere to stay.

It might be the walk you always take or everyone gathered in a familiar room. It might begin with the photos and videos already on your phone. We leave space for the moments you couldn’t plan and the memories worth revisiting.

A parent and child baking together in a familiar kitchen
A little flour. A familiar room. A whole afternoon.
A father and daughter sharing a playful moment in a sunlit meadow
And that’s a pearl.

Beautifully
imperfect.

What we can make together

Photographs, film,
and your own words.

Families who want to remember everyday life together. Grandparents and the people who know them best. A milestone, anniversary, move, or changing season of life.

  • A conversation about your people and what you want to remember
  • A look at the photographs, videos, and recordings you may already have
  • New photography, footage, or voices when they belong in the plan
  • A Photo Story, Motion Story, or combination agreed before production

Before you decide

A plan you can see clearly.

We’ll agree on the material, what you’ll receive, timing, revisions, and cost in your proposal before work begins.

Tell us what you have in mind
A few practical details

We’ll talk through the material you have, whether to photograph or record anything new, and who should be involved. Then we’ll agree on the finished photographs, film, or collection, its scope, and how you’ll receive it. An album can be part of that conversation.

How it feels to begin

Make a little
room for yourselves.

  1. Tell us about your people

Start with the routines, places, photographs, and voices you would love to remember.

  2. Gather what belongs

We can work with material you have, create something new together, or combine both.

  3. Shape the story

Choose a Photo Story, Motion Story, or a mix you can return to.

Something to come back to

Off the screen.
Into your life.

An album on the table. A film you watch together. We can help you choose how your story comes home.

A place to begin

Before we
begin.

Do we need a new photo session?

No. A Family Story can begin with photographs or videos you already have. We can also plan new photography or footage when it would add something meaningful.

What is a Photo Story?

A Photo Story brings selected photographs into a considered sequence, with words or recorded reflections if they fit. We’ll agree on the finished form together.

What is a Motion Story?

A Motion Story is an edited film that may combine photographs, home video, new footage, voices, and words. Its length and contents are agreed for the project.

Is a film or album automatically included?

We choose that together. Your proposal sets out the photographs, recordings, films, and albums included.

A note to Jonathan

What does a good day
with your people look like?

A person, a place, a half-formed idea. Tell me what’s on your mind, and we can take it from there.

Let’s start there
Every story starts with someone.
